That’s right.  He can stand up!  It is hilarious to watch this little lizard standing up like a person.  I tried to teach Rooney too but he gets mad that he has to work for his food and runs off….

    Hi Kenz!

My beardies are very VERY food motivated. They especially love wax and meal worms, so I used those as positive reinforcement for the “trick” I was teaching them. Its pretty simple. I just held the worm over the dragon’s head and he would jump a little to get it. I would hold it a little higher each time and also back toward his tail a bit until he was finally standing and leaning on his tail like a kangaroo. After many many training sessions, he has learned to just stand the whole time as I shovel worms into his mouth. 🙂

Hilarious! How do I teach my bearded dragon to do that??? My beardie is a patient boy who is about 1 1/2 years old.

The are about 3 ft long a piece and sleep in the guest bedroom bed. Will that be an issue for you?
